All applicants for the MTech(JTM) and M.S (Research) programmes need to qualify in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam conducted by the IITs every year and appear for an interview. All applicants for the MBA(TSM) program need to qualify in the Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) and appear for an interview. Admission to the Ph.D. programmes is normally made on the basis of a interview conducted by the Department/Centre concerned through its Department Research Committee (DRC) / Centre Research Committee (CRC). DRC/CRC may decide to conduct a written test as well to screen the candidates. Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in Employment News/leading newspapers in March for the first semester and in October, for the second semester every year.

Yes, every student who has a CGPA of 8 or above after the first semester and has completed at least 12 credits of course-work is eligible for conversion to Ph.D programme. He/She will also have to go through an interview as decided by the department to be able to finally register for the Ph.D programme.In fact we encourage Deserving students to convert to M.S(R) & Ph.D.

The Airtel IIT Delhi Center of Excellence in Telecomunications (AICET) was started as a integral part of the Bharti School of Telecom- munication Technology and Management in public-private-partnership with M/s Airtel, a group company of M/s Bharti Enterprises with funding from Airtel (90%) and Department of Telecommunications (10%).

Students of Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, IIT Delhi have a consistent Industry interaction through a programme Lecture Series. Airtel Lecture Series,Bharti Lecture Series and Bharti School Lecture Series are the three programmes which facilitate students to have good interaction with Industry and being abreast of latest technologies and happenings in Industry. It is conducted twice a Month in which a renowed person from the industry gives a lecture on a topic related to Telecommunications. It includes both technical and management perspectives. This lecture series is basically held with the objective of providing students of Bharti School an environment to learn from the leaders, insight into the best practices of the industry as well as an opportunity to interact with telecom leaders.
